The Diocese of Louisiana has a link with the Diocese of Lango in the Church of Uganda since 1997. The Diocese of Louisiana has worked for several years trying to get a development grant from UTO and finally encouraged local contacts to submit the application which was granted this summer for a clean water project in Apio District on Lake Kwania in Lango Diocese. The ECW of Louisiana Diocese has been most supportive of Orphans Scholarship Fund to help educate orphans in this Diocese of Lango
The Diocese of Louisiana has had a meaningful
relationship with the Diocese of Tohoku in Nippon Sei Ko Kai since the 1950's.
Several churches in the Diocese of Louisiana make regular missions(Medical,
building and supportive) to The Diocese of Honduras. The Rev. Joe Rhodes of Church of the Holy Spirit in Baton
Rouge, moderates an email news magazine called Loyd's Angels to support The Rt.
Rev. Loyd Allen in his Diocese of Honduras. This newsletter has wide circulation
throughout ECUSA as well as with people of other denominations that work for the
Episcopal Church in Honduras!
