Mission Activity:
Companion Diocese: The Diocese has established a companion relationship with Sao Paulo in Brazil that runs from 2004 to 2010 with an option to renew.
Several parishes have entered into companion parish relationships with parishes in Sao Paulo. In addition to growing with each other through communication, some of these parishes have visited their companion churches and several of the companion parishes have visited Pennsylvania.
Bishop Creighton named a special committee within the Partners in Mission Commission to oversee relations with the Casa Dia drug rehabilitation center of the diocese of Sao Paulo. The PA diocese has committed $20,000. over a two year period to assist with the professionalization and expansion of Casa Dia.
