Two things stand out:
In his 2000 Synod address Bishop Ackerman called forward representatives of a number of parishes with outstanding loans from the Diocesan funds and in a Jubilee action, put them aside and forgave the debts. We hear a lot about dept forgiveness as a part of the Jubilee notion, but there is very little done about it... here there was an example of debt forgiveness in action.
